Crabmas and The Mystery at Crooked Castle (aka Murder Crab Wrote)

I like mystery shows, Murder She Wrote, Midsomer Murders, Poirot, whatever..so in this years story there was going to be a murder!!

I don't know why a murder mystery at this time, maybe I was reading or watching something new at the time?? However it happened, I knew I wanted an Agatha Christie style ending with everyone gathered in the library!!
 

Let's see if I can remember why I included some things.. I think this must have been the year the surprise new Abba album came out, and I remember Angie (hanabi) being annoyed with all the coverage of it on British TV, and also having to put up with me with my Abba obsession being super excited too, so I figured it'd be fun to have Abba be a part of this one!! :-D

This must have also been the year Angie started doing steampunk stuff, so I had to add that too.. In fact, I believe the steampunk goggles were stolen from a pic of her!!

 

What else,  Choppy the Clown was a small ceramic figure me and my brother found at the dollar store probably sometime in the 90's.. It was of a clown with an axe chopping firewood for some reason, I had to own it!! He sat on our work table at our store for at least a decade, until we closed..

 

Oh, why a racoon leathersmith?? Well Sid found a new hobby, making stuff out of leather, and Sid likes raccoons, so I had to make a raccoon Sid!! :-D

 

I think I made a nice library and the crab pile at the end makes me laugh!! :-D

After 14 years of no one noticing him, I finally just had the sheep in the wainscoting be a part of the story!!

 

I don't know how to write real mysteries with real clues, but I did have a few, like the cup and fan and early sighting of choppy!!
